In the beginning there was the machine. And we admired its simplicity and precision. Then the machine became both smaller and more complex and Eden faded. And when our machines got small enough we took to wearing them. And when our machines developed faces and smiled at us we took to watching them everywhere we went. And there came a day in which every baby born had a computer chip put into it and thus the path to becoming one with the machine was set.
