Obama, where are your rules when we need them?

The Obama administration which is in a break neck hurry to control things that don’t need controlling like your local bank, your local doctor and the thermostat in your house, seemed awful reluctant to control something it actually had a right and a duty to control. Namely the behavior of an oil drilling company. It would be puzzling if any environmentalist had any remaining faith in the Obama administration. Given how far the Obama administration seems to be to left, it troubling that they did not put in place new, more stringent controls and force every company who drills in the gulf under US auspices to drill under them whether they do so as a US company or a foreign company. Not only this, but if other drilling companies for other nations manage to pull up oil with more safety mechanisms then we can too so the extra safety mechanisms should be mandatory. The Obama administration also dropped the ball by not having all the safety equipment the government is required by law to have on site.

Meanwhile, coastal Louisiana is being destroyed.

Oh by the way, Louisiana is asking for help to save what’s left. How about the feds expedite that request? You can get back to making the United States a communist nation later.

We must drill for oil, no matter what capitalist hating, green communists say to contrary. However, even if Obama and the democratic party are getting obscene campaign contributes from oil lobbyists and oil companies, they have to do a better job than this.
